BCAuto Enchères is the French subsidiary of British Car Auction and we sell used cars, commercial vehicles and heavily damaged vehicles. We are pleased to welcome buyers from 30 countries to our auctions and are proud to be at your service.

The French market is known for offering cars at low prices but you can be the judge of this for yourself. One thing is for sure, BCAuto Enchères France will not compromise on quality. From used car auctions to fixed-price sales

There are several options available to you for purchasing used cars:

1. Buy your vehicle at one of our two sales centres

Paris-Bonneuil (94): commercial and passenger cars auctions every Monday from 10:30 am, and Accident Vehicle auctions every Tuesday from 2:00 pm
Lyon-Bron (69): commercial and private cars auctions every Wednesday from 10:30 am and family cars auctions every Saturday morning from 9:45 am.

2. Buy online

Take part in auctions held at BCAuto Enchères centres (see paragraph above) from your own home using Live Online, the internet tool which broadcasts the auction live and allows you to take part.

All our sales catalogues, both for physical auctions and electronic auctions, are published online. Receive our auction catalogues by e-mail

You can receive the catalogues for physical auctions via e-mail the day before each auction. Just send an e-mail request to one of the sales representatives above specifying the location you are interested in (Bonneuil or Bron).
You can also contact them by phone for more information on the vehicles or to make bids.

Sales charges for bikes are at fixed rate of €150 ex. tax (€179.40 inc. tax).

Regarding vehicles from liquidation auctions, the legal costs over bids are 14.352% inc. tax and the cheque should be made out to MAITRE BREMENS.

Fees Online Auctions

The auction fee apply to the Internet sales (Live Online excepted) are 2.2% ex-tax (2.63% including tax) of the amount of the hammer price with a minimum of 185€ ex-tax (221.3€ including tax).

Management fee of 25 € ex-tax (30 € including tax) per vehicle apply for export buyers.

Paying and collecting vehicles

At the close of the auction, the successful bidder receives and e-mail from BCAuto Enchères informing him/her that he/she is the purchaser of the vehicle(s) in question.

The purchaser must then go to one of BCAuto Enchères’s centres (see addresses on the site), within 3 working days after the auction to settle the bill for the purchase amount plus sales charges. The vehicle cannot be collected until the purchase amount has been paid in full.

Payment: bank transfer

Once the payment has been made, the original administrative documents (registration certificate, etc.) will be sent with the vehicle. Failing this, it may take up to 15 days to obtain these documents which will then be sent by post to the address given.

Vehicles may only be collected once payment has been made and on presentation of the waybill (CMR).

The maximum timeframe for collecting the vehicle is 5 days after the sale date. After this point, parking charges will be incurred at a rate of €10 for every additional day.

BCAuto Enchères offers special conditions in relation to payment deadlines depending on the amount purchased:

Possible VAT exemption on export

Only vehicles entitled to VAT exemption are indicated as such in the sales catalogue and are dealt with in the paragraph below.

This VAT exemption is applied onto the amount of the vehicle, sales charges and transport charges.

Current VAT rate in the automobile sector = 19.6%.

a) For all European Union countries

(Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic)

To benefit from VAT exemption, please provide us with:

proof of the company's valid intra-community VAT number
a waybill (CMR) issued by a transport company and stamped by them as well as by the customer

b) For all countries outside the European Union

If you use our transport partner’s services:

Bill excluding VAT for the vehicle and sales charges

If you use the services of another transport company:

Bill inc. tax: to get VAT back, the vehicle must leave French territory in the month following the sale, we must receive the EX1 a MAXIMUM of 2 MONTHS from the date the vehicle was sold. On receipt of these documents we will reimburse the VAT by bank transfer.

Please note: the original registration documents for some vehicles are not immediately available. For these vehicles, please expect a delay of 15 days between purchase and export. Please ask for more information at the reception desk before purchase.
